How would you feel if one day your life changed completely from good to bad, and that every day you would live in fear of some villain taking you away for your family’s money? Well that is what happens in the “Series of Unfortunate Events: The Vile Village” by Lemony Sniket.
The Baudelaire Orphans have been very unique ever since they were born. Violet, the oldest child is a really good inventor and is always thinking of ways to get out of trouble. Klaus, the second Baudelaire is a researcher who loves nothing more than reading books, and sunny the third and youngest Baudelaire is only a baby and already has grown up teeth that she uses to bite her way out of situations.
The Orphans have been tracked down by Count Olaf, who is their greedy Uncle and who wants nothing more than to make their lives miserable and take their enormous family fortune by taking them away until they come of age to inherit their family’s fortune. They are taken to a town where they are being taken care of by all the people living in the town having no Idea that Count Olaf is already there. Having to follow hundreds of rules, written by ridiculous people, and worrying about lots of crows! The Baudelaire Orphans have to survive the “Vile Village.”
I would recommend this book to people who like to learn new words while they read, and to kids who love Mystery and crime solving novels. “The Vile Village” is the seventh book in the “Series of Unfortunate Events” and is a very good addition to the series.
