The reptile room by Lemony Snicket has so many topics I can write about. The 3 kids Violet the oldest, Klaus the brains, and Sunny the youngest. Thier parents died in a fire 2 years ago. Some people would say it is very sad because it talks about the Baudelaire’s dead parents. I would say this sensational book will take you through feeling you will never have thought you had, and show you to be thankful for everything you have.
The setting is in Hazy Harbor. A city where it always rains and it has nothing to do exciting in it. The town makes every one feel kind of sad because of the weather that has no sunshine and all clouds. Would you like to live in a place where all it does is rain and the sun never comes out?
The main characters are the most important part of the book. The 3 Baudelaire orphans move from home to home. Violet is the oldest with a very good instinct for inventing. Klaus the middle aged is a very smart kid who loves to read. And last but not least Sunny the youngest that bites things constantly with her razor sharp teeth. The Baudelaire’s take you through adventures as if you were in the room yourself.
This book takes you through feelings that you would normally feel in real life not in a story. The man who the orphans stayed with in the first book secretly dresses up as Uncle Monty’s assistant. Uncle Monty was planning on taking the orphans to Cuba with him to research snakes. That is until the unexpected Count Olaf kills Uncle Monty with snake venom that he keeps in the Reptile room (a giant room filled with reptiles to the top). Then Count Olaf tries to make them travel to Cuba with them so he can kill the orphans where no one will find out. But will a long time friend come back from the dust and save them? Or will the Baudelaire’s bodies be left on the cold beaches of Cuba to rot?

Tom had a couple of spelling errors. Other than that he did a good job of reviewing the book.

I like how he used a lot of voice and decribed the characters very well. I would definitely read this book.
