The End of Forever By: Lurlene Mcdaniel Reviewed by Jamie C.

Have you ever gotten lost in a book? Some may say no, reading is a waste of time. I might’ve been one of those people, until I set my eyes on The End of Forever. The End of Forever is a great book due to the setting, the characters, and the plot.
First, the setting of this book varies. During the first part of the book the setting is in a school, on a stage, and at their home. The second part of the book the characters are mainly in the hospital. The school this book takes place at is a school for girls. The characters in this book are not as high-class as the other students but they manage to get by. The portion where the characters are in the hospital isn’t necessarily what you would call frightening, but it’s crowded and silent. Other than the piercing voices of the doctors and nurses no one is really in chatting mood.
Next, the characters. My favorite, Amy, Is Erin’s sister. They are both very close in age, but nothing alike. Amy is outgoing, hilarious, and just goes with the flow. Erin is very serious, she’s clean and tidy, and she’s also very up tight if you ask me. Amy is the type of girl who isn’t worried about her future, she just lives her life. She’s very dramatic, and her room is a pigsty, but everyone seems to love her. Erin, her room is organized, just like she is. Erin loves dancing, just as much as her sister Amy loves acting. Though these sisters are completely opposite, they both share something really special.
Finally, the plot of this story begins in such a way that you will never guess, in your wildest dreams what the ending may be. As I said before Amy and Erin had their differences, they didn’t always get along. The night of Amy and Erin’s very important show, Amy asks Erin if she can take the car to get some extra sodas for the cast. Erin was a little worried but gave the keys to her anyway. When Amy wasn’t there right away, Erin was beginning to wonder. Amy is always late, so Erin wasn’t too worried about her absence. But as the time grew longer, Erin’s patience grew shorter. She went out looking for Amy with Amy’s boyfriend, Travis. It was a long and frightening drive to the hospital when Erin had found out what happened to her sister. What will her parents choose to do? How long will Amy be at the hospital? Will Erin ever be able to forgive herself for giving Amy the keys?
In conclusion, this book kept me guessing. The End of Forever got me hooked. I got lost in the wonderfully fearsome story of the two sisters. I recommend reading this book. It may be hard to relate to if you’re a boy, seeing how this book is about sisters. Girls will really enjoy reading this book. It had it’s ups and downs, and it just might make you cry, but trust me, it’s worth the tears.

  1. This book sounds amazing! I have a sister, and we are nothing alike, so I think this would be a great book to relate to.
