Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien Review by Alex C.

Who do you think is the best author of our time?
Some would say J.K. Rowling or Christopher Paolini.
I believe that the best author of our time was J.R.R Tolkien because of his books titled: The Lord of the Rings.


In this epic saga, Tolkien paints his words so vividly
that you are half afraid that the pages will come alive!
He has mystery and suspense on every page and his descriptions of places Like Mordor or Minas Morgul leave you
gasping for air. The amount of detail he puts into his writing is phenomenal. His characters are larger than life,
his enemies fierce and terrifying and his climaxes are nothing
short of amazing!

My favorite character in the series has been Gollum if only because of his multiple personality disorder.
He believes he is both Gollum the cave creature and Sméagol:
The kind river person.
Several other reasons include: His maddening
thirst for the ring, his anger toward anything happy
and his dislike of cooked food.


My least favorite character thus far has been
Legolas because of his airy, almost superior actions and dialogue. Another thing I dislike about him is that he adds no sense of adventure or humor; therefore he adds nothing except a being for Gimli the dwarf, to argue with.

In conclusion, I believe that the Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring was an awesome tale of mystery and adventure, of love and suspense and finally, of magic and wonder. This is why I love Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring and why I think you should read it.
