HIVE
What makes a good book? Some might say one with filled with action and suspense. The best book has realistic characters, interesting conflicts, and a strong message theme.
I am reading the book HIVE by Mark Walden. The setting of this book is in a dormant volcano that was turned into a school. In the school they teach students from around the world to become villains. It is easy to picture the school the way Mark Walden describes it. The school was carved from black granite and there are many beautiful statues.
This book has three main characters Otto, Wing, and Dr. Nero. The characters are very easy to relate to because the all grew up in poor and rich environments, and in orphanages. The characters are easy to believe real because the do what most people can do. Otto is a brilliant young boy with a promising future. Wing is a kung fu expert, and dr. Nero is the head of the school.
The plot of this book is the kids from around the world get captured to come to hive, the school, and are taught to become the next super villains of the world. But Otto and Wing do not want this. They gather other kids that believe as they do and try to escape from hive. But one thing they don’t know is that Dr. Nero knows about the escape plan. Then as they are about to be captured by Dr. Nero a mutated plant comes out of nowhere and starts terrorizing the school.
I would definitely recommend this book to all my friends. This book is very action packed and filled with suspense. So next time you are at the library see if they have HIVE by Mark Walden.
